May Home Sales Report (2026)

Here are the latest statistics for residential real estate in Cincinnati, Southeastern Indiana, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Springfield.

Increased inventory and new listings provided more options for buyers last month, while continued growth in home prices and sales volume demonstrated the ongoing strength of the Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Dayton housing markets. Here is a report by region of home sales during May of 2026:

Cincinnati Market Statistics

May 2026 vs May 2025

  • 1.0% increase in homes sold (1,855)

  • 5.5% increase in median sale price ($335,000)

  • 10.7% increase in sales volume ($771,800,000)

  • 18.9% increase in active inventory (3,003 listings)

  • 8.8% increase in new listings (2,674 new listings)

  • 25.0% increase in median days on market (5 days)

January-May 2026 vs January-May 2025

  • -0.4% decrease in homes sold (6,896 vs. 6,922)

  • 6.2% increase in median sale price ($316,900 vs. $298,500)

  • 4.8% increase in sales volume ($2,610,000,000 vs. $2,500,000,000)

Northern Kentucky Market Statistics

May 2026 vs May 2025

  • 5.8% increase in homes sold (622 homes vs 588 homes)

  • 2.9% increase in median sale price ($315,000 vs $306,050)

  • 7.6% increase in sales volume ($223,000,000 vs $208,000,000)

  • 5.0% increase in active inventory (1058 vs 1008)

  • 5.0% increase in new listings (880 vs 838)

  • -6.3% decrease in average days on the market (30 vs 32)
